Hello, I am Mrs. Lopez the school social worker here at Walnut Park Middle School/Social Justice Academy. Welcome to my virtual office! I am here to meet the mental health needs of the entire school community including student, parents, and staff.
A little about me: I earned my Master’s degree in Social Welfare from UCLA and a Bachelor’s degree in social work from CSULA. I use a strength-based, culturally sensitive model, focusing on helping students bounce back from adversity and practice helpful coping skills to build resilience in the modern world.
My virtual office hours are from M-F 11am-12pm. I am also available by email: leticia.Lopez@lausd.net.
